Visibility is perfect this evening. Venus hangs high in the southern sky after sunset, shining so bright that I almost mistook it for the navigational light of a departing aircraft. As night falls, Altair—the Cowherd Star—also becomes visible near the zenith. Although it is not as bright, it is easily identifiable, especially with the help of its "sons," two even dimmer stars nearby. Wow, the night is truly beautiful... even if I may not always be allowed to express this opinion. :-|
Friends, don't forget that a total lunar eclipse will occur on the night of December 10, 2011 (next Saturday), and it will be visible in Hong Kong if the weather is clear.
